Join our volunteer team!! Get involved!
Volunteering doesn't have to be a one-time experience. For many, it's a lifetime activity. What you gain from volunteering will change. There will always be new skills, new experiences and new feelings of satisfaction. Volunteering is often hard work but it is rarely dull. There may be times when life doesn't allow you to volunteer. But it will always be there when you need it to enrich your life. Take joy in the knowledge that you can always give.
But it will do a whole lot more. It will develop you as a person, too. You will discover new parts of yourself, make friends, try new experiences and know the satisfaction of helping others and being a part of a community.
What are you waiting for? Volunteering Works! You give a little, and get a lot. For a list of volunteer opportunities please contact our events coordinator at 905-825-3242 or
We have plenty of opportunities for you to get involved. Check out our list of upcoming events and choose something you'd like to help with!

During the season of giving the Halton Trauma Centre, our community partners and individuals try to help our less fortunate clients. There are several families annually that need “adopting” for Christmas as well as children and teens.
Our clinicians provide a list of clients that require help along with a wish list. Many of our clients are “in-care” and therefore do not have family members to purchase gifts for them.
The list changes every year and ranges from kids toys to essentials for teens. All gifts are tagged with the clients first name and last initial and are wrapped by the donor. The HTC will arrange for delivery of the gifts.
The annual Valentine’s Gala is our largest event of the year both for fundraising and for reaching the community. An elegant evening of dining and dancing complete with a live auction, silent auction and charity casino it is the event of the year. This event has raised as much as $50,000 in the past.
