The Halton Trauma Centre is a unique and specialized community-based agency established in 1983 to provide clinical assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents and families affected by child abuse.

Who are we?
Established in 1983, Halton Trauma Centre has come to be widely recognized as a leader in the field of childhood interpersonal abuse (physical, sexual, or emotional), children displaying problematic sexualized behavior, adolescents who have committed sexual offenses, and with sibling incest.
Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of highly skilled, field experts to offer regular training, supervision and consultation to other professionals and community partners. Our program also conducts public awareness initiatives and research in the area of child abuse to promote best practice guidelines, treatment innovations, and public awareness.
